European union sets this standard and the following 14 companies signed the memorandum of understanding

The following manufacturers use Micro USB chargers and Micro USB charging connectors in their new phones from 2011:

Apple, Emblaze Mobile, Huawei Technologies, LGE, Motorola, NEC, Nokia, Qualcomm, Research in Motion (RIM), Samsung, SonyEricsson, TCT Mobile (ALCATEL mobile phones), Texas Instruments and Atmel.

So friends ,don’t worry about missing your phone charger on your trip ,you can get a charger anywhere from any one who has a mobile !
