Thanks Beow , for your Valuable feedback. The Firmware 052.005 update is available only for few product codes up to now. Most of the feedbacks are positive so far . This bug may occur specially for your product code ,can you share the product code and the country of your Nokia E72 to keep track on this issue .

Today I installed 058.018 and it’s pretty buggy on my end too. Might you know how I can downgrade back to the firmware that I had?

    Thanks!

Calendar reminders are silent after the first auto-snooze.
First time reminder ring, vibrate and flash screen, and there are 2 soft-buttons:Stop and Silence.
Let it ring about 30s until it enters auto-snooze. Wait snooze time.
After that, the reminder wakes up with just flashing screen: no mor ring or vibrate. At this time the soft-buttons are:Stop and Snooze.
Hope to be helpfull with this.

To all Nokia engeniers: in future releases please just implement what consumer majority asks based on our feedback and correct the existing bugs and don’t mess with what is already good.
Your clients want better versions, not better in some aspects and worse in others with new bugs that didn’t existed. It’s a 2 step forward, 1 step back. Please be more sensible in changing things!
Or, at least, give us the chance to downgrade to a previous version!

    Thanks,
a Nokia customer, much happier in the past

JaFre ! Your feedback adds some value to our SD’s Community !. Great Job. I do agree with you ,that the firmware udpate should only bring improvements not to bring new bugs. Hope you might have read our post -

With the new firmware, I was expecting clarification on the issue of 512 MB of virtual memory. For what it’s needed and how it affects the speed of flash cards. But, apparently, everything was still.

For me “fix” with keypad auto-lock is bug.
I think that the keypad should be locked in any level of menu (not only in home-screen). I’m happy that still have 51.018 :D

I got the SMS bug, no vibra or sound when updated to 052.005.
Initially i did FOTA and after that have even tried NSU. It works ok if you do 7370 boot after update, but once you restore SMS/MMS backup it loses the sound.

Manage to find some solution from other forum, nokia hosted one: http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/E72-No-tone-vibration-upon-receiving-SMS/td-p/660837/page/3

move the messages to memory card –> fixed it.

I did the upgrade and found that I lost Arabic language option. I now have Romainan instead. Also few keys in the keyboard changed locations such as the .?’ and others so they do not correspond to what is printed on the keys.
So people need to be careful when upgrading..

Same problem. With certain numbers no vibra no sound.
Come on give us a better version and not a bugged version

Got the problem with no sound and no vibration when receiving a SMS too. Does anyone here know any solution for this problem or do we just have to wait for a new upcoming update?

Solution for No sound for new messages on E72- Hi read Ville’s comment above, “move the messages to memory card “through the message settings ,it seems to solve the problem
