Nokia’s closed OVI Suite Beta 2.1 Now Opens for All- Nokia changes strategy

Nokia changed it’s policy of keeping OVI Suite beta 2.1 test as a closed beta to a public beta now. Earlier Nokia called for beta testers and offered the first release of OVI Suite under strict closed beta test with lot of terms and conditions .
I also got a friendly email from Nokia reminding me the closed nature of the beta test .( Read my previous post about the announcement )But now the beta is open for everyone after one closed test .
Here is a short list of what the new Ovi Suite offers for now.:
- Contacts sync with Ovi.com – keep your contacts safe online(now you can sync using your pc instead of the device )
- Video support – transfer, play and share your videos(video playback and transferring videos from Nokia Ovi Suite to device)
- Get new device applications (Independent Application Delivery, IAD) – keep your device applications up-to-date
- Windows 7 support – extended support for new operating system versions
- Download Ovi Share library – get a copy of your Ovi Share content to your computer
- Contacts sync with Mozilla Thunderbird – support for new, popular desktop PIM applications
- Error fixes and performance improvements
- New languages (Hindi, American English and Ukrainian)
visit Beta Labs and download the OVI Beta 2.1 to store your device content and manage the device .
