In most cases the specs available in the manufacturer’s web sites don’t reveal the phone camera’s focus technology ,just they describe the Mega Pixels and Flash types.Most of the sales people at retailers are not aware about this even.

Find the word A/F on Camera Area : When do you go for a Nokia phone,just see the back cover ,camera lens area, if you find a word A/F ,yes the phone camera is using autofocus technology

Only the hi end phones are  listed here ,as lot of people never expect a cheap camera in hi ends normally .

Now a lot of home screen widget capable Symbian phones are available in the market. Perhaps you too own one like N97 or Nokia N8.This is one of the simple idea to the developers ,to have a home screen widget that displays the running programs. We should be able to close down the program we want to ,by just pressing the close icon displayed next to the program in the home screen. The quality of the widget should be like Nokia Notifications . As should run with using minimum resources and nicely integratedinto the phone OS.(idea just striked when I had  a cup of tea…)

After hours of maintenance the Ovi Store was been revived to its new level. Level with many improvements from the previous version of Ovi Store. The official Nokia Ovi blog highlighted the main improvements of Ovi Store are the ff.

• Make it easier to browse, search and discover content
• Improve the quality of content reviews (eg: change from 3 to 5 star rating system)
• Provide more product information to help you decide what to buy

There is also some changes on desktop experience of Ovi Store. The UI is now much friendlier and it is easy to set your mobile device. Also the user interface of search result is now more decent and cleaner giving you a wide details of search queries.

Make.Believe.No.Multi.Touch

It’s confirmed, it’s final, and it’s really true that X10 has no multi-touch functions. Sir Rikkard Skogberg confirmed it and announced at official Sony Ericsson blog. This is one of his statement:

Also he admits that it is hardware and software relation that X10 cannot have the support for multi-touch. But he also said that future updates might get some solutions on the said issue e.g. zooming.

Running the X10 in Android 1.6 and with future updates to upgrade it to Android 2.0, Android 2.1 or Android 2.2 or what so ever, it is still impossible to have a multi-touch functions because of the hardware relations. Sorry to all SE and Android fans, but another Android device was pawned by iPhone in terms of multi-touch capabilities. Anyways, Xperia X10 has a 4″ capacitative touch screen to make those Apple fans envy you.

The programmers and modders from Nokia Beta Labs released the first ever Nokia Bots for N97 & N97 Mini. Nokia bots is composed of add-ons and each of them has a bot that observe/senses and learn the user’s behaviors whilst using the phone, by observing and learning the bots then auto-configure the phone’s programs and functions by basing it on the behaviors that it learned from you.


There are currently four bots and these are:

• Profile Bot assists in switching profile for meetings
• Alarm Bot helps in setting a wake-up alarm and night profile
• Shortcut Bot provides quick access to most frequently used apps
• Battery Bot notifies of upcoming power issues

There is a wide usage and settings of bots, you can either disable each bot or whole application. Indications of status bars for green that means the bot gathered enough observations and the auto-configurations are ready whilst the yellow bars indicate that the bot is still observing and will turn green until it gathered enough results.
